What is included in the registration fee?
A: A t-shirt and goodie bag are included in your registration fee.
Do I have to sign a waiver to participate?
A: Yes, when registering online you will need to sign a waiver.
Can children enter?
A: Yes! This year we will be having our second Superhero Children’s Fun Run! Children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite superhero, race and receive a complimentary medal at the awards ceremony.
Can I run with a walker/stroller?
A: Yes. Please stay behind runners and on sidewalks at all times.
When will the race end?
A: The race will end at approximately around 10:30 A.M.
Can I bring a dog to the race?
A: No, only service animals are allowed.
Can a runner use headphones while running?
A: Headphones are discouraged. If you choose to wear headphones, please be aware of course marshal and police directions.
How far is a 3K and an 8K?
A: The 3K and 8K measure at about 1.84 and 4.97 miles respectively.
Are roads closed for the race?
A: There are no street closures or driving restrictions during our race. Residents have been informed about the race, and police will be directing traffic. Run inside the coned areas and follow course marshal directions.
I have not heard from the Volunteer Coordinator yet. What do I do?

Can I volunteer and run?
A: Yes, sign up for set-up or clean-up stations in order to volunteer and participate in the run on race day.
CREATE A TEAM (REGISTRATION)
What if I can’t find my team?
A: The team captain has to create the team. If a captain has created a team, and you are unable to find your team during the registration process; please email email@example.com.
Is there a team size limit?
A: No, there is no team size limit. The only requirement is that a team be composed of 2 or more runners.
Are teams required to finish as one?
A: No, teams do not have to finish as one.
How do I register a team?
A: Click here to register. Follow the steps to register yourself in the 8K or 3K, and add participant(s) to a team. Select either to join an existing team, or create a new team. If you are creating a new team, you are designated team captain. Share this process and link with fellow team members.
Will the run be cancelled if weather conditions are poor?
A: The run will take place rain or shine.
Where do I go to collect my goodie bag?
A: Packets, including t-shirts, bibs, timing B-Tags, and goodie bags, will be available for pick up in Fairfax on Thursday, April 26th from 3pm til’ 7pm and Friday, April 27th 12pm til’ 4pm at Pacers Fairfax located at 10420 North Street, Fairfax, VA 22030.
Race Day Packet Pick Up will be available Saturday, April 28th, on the event grounds adjacent to the Fairfax Courthouse complex from 6:30 am until 7:30 am.
Please do not wait until race day, if you want to avoid the lines.
What post-race events can I participate in?
A: After the race has concluded, participants and volunteers are encouraged to stick around and enjoy the post-race celebration. Entertainment will include a D.J., photo booth, Kids Fun Zone, awards ceremony, medals for our Children’s Superhero Run, raffle giveaways and much more! Refreshments will be provided.
Are there water and aid stations on the course?
A: Yes, water stations will be located throughout the course. EMT’s will be on bikes for emergencies.
