Third Annual Run for the Children – Saturday, May 4th – boasts new, faster 8K course, same fun 3K course!
Plan now to participate in the third annual Fairfax CASA’s Run for the Children on Saturday, May 4th. Each year, Fairfax CASA brings the community together for this race to raise funds for our advocacy work with Fairfax County’s abused and neglected children. For the third year in a row, the race will be held at the Fairfax County Courthouse complex and feature lively music, delicious food, great prizes, and exciting giveaways.
To mark Run for the Children’s third anniversary, we’ve added some new features to make the day even more fun!
- In 2013, the previous 10K course will be replaced by a fast-paced 8K, featuring fewer turns and hills. It’s an opportunity to clock your personal best! The popular 3K course remains unchanged.
- Corporations and individuals have the opportunity to build team spirit and run together in groups. Get creative with team t-shirts and posters, or set a goal to raise additional money for the children we serve. Teams may interact on social media and create excitement about the race by posting training pictures or fundraising challenges. Check the registration page to join an existing team, or if you would like to create a team, go here to get started.
- Registration will be easier than ever. Register online without a processing fee!
Abused and neglected children need support from all of us in order to reach their potential. Be a part of their support team by registering for Fairfax CASA’s 2013 Run for the Children.
